About This Project

This single-story brick ranch in Lima had an aging three-tab roof at the end of its life, but the tear-off revealed the real problem: sections of the decking had rotted through. We stripped the roof to the framing, cut out and replaced the rotted decking, laid new synthetic underlayment, and installed new charcoal architectural shingles across both the house and its backyard shed, finishing with a full cleanup and magnetic nail sweep.

Scope of Work

  • Full tear-off of the old three-tab shingles down to the decking
  • Replacement of extensively rotted roof decking
  • New synthetic underlayment across the full roof
  • Ice-and-water shield in the valleys and along the eaves
  • New architectural (dimensional) asphalt shingles in charcoal

The Result
